Yet another bike photo roundup post
I'm still chewing through the massive backlog of bike pictures I saved when I wasn't posting them to cohost in 2024. Here's some more!
- Another day, another deranged, deadly custom bike made by someone with too many welding skills for their own good. Baffling, yet incredible. The tiny front wheel... the pivot in the frame... truly, this seeker quests for both artistry and death.
- I found this one linked on reddit - it's a company that makes single speed minivelos based on BMX parts. However, the frame shape is fucking wild. It just looks so crazy dude!!! It looks like a bike with its ass in the air!
- Ikea once sold a bike, called a Sladda, which it had to recall for safety reasons. This person kept their Sladda despite the recall and has been modding it to hell ever since. It looks like a god damn Oldsmobile, what the hell!
- I adore this bike themed after the Pokemon Haunter. Great stuff! Appreciate the themed baseball bat to bonk your enemies with!
- This is just a really odd and fun color combo. Looks great now. Clearly its owner loaded it up for a long ass trip. Hope it holds up to the dirt!
- This "shaft drive" bike provides an excellent reason for me to remind you that shaft drive bikes exist, and that there are loads of videos of them on YouTube. The reason we don't use them is that they are slightly less mechanically efficient and standardized than chain drivetrains. I love how weird bikes are!
- This person has wrapped their highly aero racing bike in a pepperoni themed wrap. The poster is the owner. They occasionally like to remind the internet that their bike is still around. I can only respect this as a pure expression of the human soul.
- This poster regrets drilling "speed holes" in their derailleur. They say, "I always wanted to do this, but now I wish I could put the material back. It's not as cool as I thought it would be." Such is life!!
- This is the same bike I have!! It's so good!! I love it so much!! This poster has a nicer color scheme than I do, though... they got those nice orange accents... it's great!! It's nothing special though lmao, I am just plaguing you with a nice photo of a bike I love!
- An incredibly clean and good custom electric BMX with the craziest looking battery. It's like a giant tube under the frame? It fits the bike pretty dang well, i's almost hard to see at first glance. I'm also curious about the tube behind the seat tube, and the weird metal plate used to hide whatever is going on in the back wheel. Interesting stuff!
- For some reason this bike basically has the brand name "POO LOVER" written on it?
- This bike frame is now being used by a farmer to uproot tapioca roots. The fork has a strap on it, he wraps it around the plant, rotates the handlebars to lock it on, and then uses the rear triangle to stabilize the bike and create a pivot point for ripping the root out.
- This bike wheel has some pretty crazy spoke lacing. See the comments for some people talking about the role weird lacing played in their local scenes years ago.
- This bizarre video captioned up in what I think of as "social media sludge style" shows a bike seat that allows your ass cheeks to move independently. I dunno, friends.... I dunno.......
- A custom fairing designed to make an ebike look like a japanese racing car or something. I think I posted this person's previous fairing design on a previous photo roundup.
- This incredible custom Rocko's Modern Life themed bike was stolen!!! God, what a tragedy. I hope this thief shits themselves so hard they have to go to physical therapy.
