Went to the Broad museum today
For the first time, I finally visited the Broad museum in downtown LA. It requires you to either get a ticket ahead of time or stand in a big line outside, so I've always avoided it.
I enjoyed it! It's a very... instagrammy??? museum. Loads of things that people want their picture taken in front of. They got one of those Jeff Koons balloon dogs. They have the Lichtenstein of the lady saying "I'm sorry!" I did not take any photos of myself in front of any famous art but I did take a lot of pictures of famous art.
Here's my favorite art from the museum today, depicting a large songbird screaming at a tiny glass of milk:

The info card says:
Edward Ruscha
United States, 1937
Angry Because it's Plaster, Not Milk, 1965
Oil on canvas
A powerful sentiment. I can sympathize.
