Randomness in Narrative Video Games: Aesthetics of Different Random Systems

A great post from Bruno about the aesthetic impact of different randomization systems in narrative games.

I have discovered an interesting corner of the internet

A post from Cass about an obliquely-gameshow-themed wiki community where players edit a wiki while pretending to be a character who is an object with a face drawn on it. The internet is endlessly, uh, squiggly... we are never going to run out of rabbitholes.

Transitdocs.com

The Amtrak employees recommended this site to one of my fellow riders as the best way to see whether a train is on time, or to find out precisely where it's located. It works well on mobile! I remember in the past having to look at data feeds that were done entirely in text, so this is a great improvement. Click on a train to see its arrival and departure time history for its current journey.

The Duke

A great little card game.

How 1990s Magic Eye 3D Images Were Made
