Yesterday, I posted a list of reviews. We're so glad that people seem to have understood what we were going for. Skin Deep is funny and weird and lets you do outrageous things. It is never normal. Playing it still gives me joy, even after years of working on it.

I am so grateful that these folks were able to step in and help me finish the email system. We had a lot of narrative come online in the last third of development, and the email system started hurtling toward completion at the same time that we were speeding toward VO records. These brilliantly funny writers generated a shit ton of incredible material and made it possible for me to wedge all the text into the game at lightning speed without dying. I could not have done it without them!!
How did we make it??
I hope to get some of the story dev materials for the game online this month. We have some old ideation documents, script materials, etc. which I am going to pick through and see what I can share. I've already written about our order of operations for narrative collaboration on the game, and I hope to add a little more to that soon as well.
I'm extremely proud not only of the game we made, but also of the documentation and processes we had for certain parts of development. Now that it's out, I kind of want to show you how the sausage got made. This is the first game in my career that I've personally owned the entire narrative process from the very beginning of ideation to the very end... so it's also the very first game in my career where nobody can stop me from showing you the nasty early dev materials, haha. When I was younger I would have killed to see what this kind of stuff looks like in preproduction.
