Pathologic 3 is out!!

The game is out today! I once again urge you to buy it!!

The work I did on this game was localization editing. I and the other localization editors received preliminary English translations from the translators and edited, polished, and modified them to hit IPL's extremely high quality bar for storytelling.

I've read most of the text in the game, and I gotta say, my biggest takeaway is that Patho 3 is extremely lively and funny, and that most conversations contain truly insane delights for the Text Enjoyers among you. I was choking laughing while I read some of these conversations for the first time.

This is largely because Danil Dankovsky, the protagonist (and my favorite Pathologic character), is an extremely hapless, dunkable, bad-mannered man. Pathologic 3 does an incredible job of putting you in his shoes while also making you question his often-terrible behavior. It's a real rollercoaster! Patho 3 is just an incredible experience for anyone who loves perspective storytelling in narrative games.

If that's you, you can play this game without having played Pathologic 2 at all - though I do recommend playing both, because they're two halves of the same story. Pathologic 1 was a game with three campaigns starring three different characters. Each route tells the same story from a different perspective. Pathologic 2 is a remake of one route; Pathologic 3 is a remake of a different one. 2 and 3 have completely different core mechanics and tell the story in such wildly different ways that playing either one first won't ruin your experience with the other.

Anyway, if you like weird interactive storytelling, I can't think of a better mind-expanding experience than to play either of these in whatever order you choose. Roll a die, maybe. They're both fascinating!
