Okay here's some Skin Deep posting about beans
Multiple people have told me recently that they wish there was more posting about Skin Deep on this blog. So here it is:
In the world of Skin Deep, everyone who is cool calls bullets "beans," in the same way we call USD "bucks".
So if you are a cool gun-shooter who's run out of bullets, you might say, "all outta beans." Or if you are shooting someone, you might shout, "get your hot beans!"
The metaphor of "flying bits of metal that kill you" being called "beans" extends also to grenades. We have some characters who refer to grenades as "bean cans." So instead of shouting "grenade out," they holler "hot bean can!"
Let's just say that I did this because I'm trying to make you worse at the game. You can consider it a kind of antagonistic pun.
