Learn mechanical seal theory with this mime
This is another video which I learned about during a Glitch City YouTube event earlier in 2024. I believe it was submitted by Russell? It demonstrates mechanical seal theory using a mime. The video is quite old and has clearly made the rounds across the internet before, but I figured I'd put it up here, because it is a delight.
My first thought was: why don't we use mimes for more didactic purposes? They seem to be very good at it. I learned mechanical seal theory much better than I expected after watching this video a couple times. I think about it every month or so, which is more than I think about most physics lessons I've ever had in my life.
Mimes belong in the classroom!!
