I'm still playing Wheel World
I am still playing and loving Wheel World!
I wanted to blog about it again because I wanted to say a little spoiler as an encouragement to pick it up. This is probably something you can deduce if you rewatch the trailer after starting the game, but I didn't... the first map you land in is not the only map in the game!
I believed I was getting to the end of the story, and suddenly I ended up in a whole second zone with harder races and weirder topography.
I will say that the game as a whole is not very hard. This is a chillout/exploration title, I think, with racing as a secondary challenge. Getting 100% of the objectives in each race is usually more about solving the terrain/hidden pickups and optimizing shortcuts than it is about genuinely battling the frontrunner. However, the second map does come with harder races. I and spending a lot more time restarting them on that map.
Still finding new bike culture references, and still really enjoying myself. I missed out on a lot of biking due to illness earlier this year and I would have loved to play this game while I was stuck at home seething, haha.
