I took Italian in college. I'd taken 6 years of Latin by that time, so I found Italian shockingly difficult - my instincts did not line up correctly and I wasn't motivated enough to knuckle down and actually organize my knee-jerk reactions to the two languages and develop the right habits for Italian.
One of the big things we had to do in Italian class was watch the Teenage Mutant Nina turtles in Italian and discuss the episodes together. I was extraordinarily bad at this, so I hated it... but I did really enjoy the intro song. It's so different!
