IFComp 2026 will have new rules around generative AI
...And the rule is that you can't submit generated text or art.

This is a huge improvement over last year! I am very glad to see this change. The post includes survey feedback numbers - the majority of respondents were strongly opposed to the use of generated text. 73% were either strongly or somewhat opposed to the use of generated cover art, even.
This is consistent with surveys about what players want to see in videogames generally.
