I immediately broke one of my mesh radios!!
I was hoping to post today about getting these radios set up but unfortunately I seem to have fried at least one of them.
Radios can damage themselves if they are powered on without an antenna attached; I unfortunately seem to have broken one of the antenna cables on one of my two RAK base boards. It no longer transmits, and I think it's because it fucking headshot itself with radio waves last night. I am certainly the reason why the cable broke - I'm very certain that I scrunched it too hard while closing its housing up last night.
Anyway, this has delayed my post about sending radio text messages around my house. Oh well!!! I'll fix this eventually. The boards are not expensive, but it's a huge pain that I managed to break the first one I got almost immediately.
Lessons learned, I guess!!!!
