Every conversation in the second zone in Avowed
The second zone in Avowed is full of what I can best describe as Italian necromancers.
All the conversations look like this, and I love them:
I am not being silly here. I genuinely am having a great time with this game and the setting is one of the big reasons why. I've forgotten a lot about the Pillars of Eternity setting since the last time I played a game in this series, and I was absolutely jumpscared [good variety] by walking into the second zone and finding it full of italian necromancers. There's a lot of really unusual and creative stuff in here... people have been asking me whether this is "Obsidian's Morrowind" and the best I can say is "No! It's different!" which is good!
(But also... if a lot of mushrooms is enough to make you think fondly of Morrowind, then yes, this one has a lot of mushrooms in it!)
