Even more bike photos in a bike photo roundup

I am still chewing through my backlog of bike photos that I saved off reddit, but never posted to Cohost!! Here are some more!

  1. This deranged bicycle (not the one pictured above) is a custom framebuilding job from a true artisan. It looks incredible. Also: quite heavy, haha.
  2. A headset cap meant for storing weed... the specific product depicted is for sale here.
  3. A really sick custom minivelo.
  4. A gorgeously color-coordinated bike which has been hand-repainted and done up with logos to look like livery from the brand Makita, a Japanese power tool company. True dedication to carpentry!!
  5. This poster's roommate has attached a corrugated plastic tube to their top tube using zip ties. For "extra storage." The poster says, "You either remove or twist that white cap to reach in with your hand" to access it as a cargo space. Someone then asks, "But how does he use it? What is its purpose?" Hilariously, there is no reply. What IS he putting in the tube??
  6. This bizarre creation has two front wheels, one in front of the other, not side by side. It cost only $500 on Facebook Marketplace, which feels like both a lot and a little.
  7. A photo someone found on an Amazon review for bar extenders shows someone mounting two twist-shift grips on tiny sawn-off handlebar chunks... above a drop bar?? Take a close look and you'll see the flatbar bike which probably donated the twist shifters has also donated flatbar brake lever, which is mounted to the drops. This person needs to give up and buy some drop bar breaks!!!
  8. You see enough deranged custom bikes on reddit and they all start to blend together... but this one is really something. The unicycle-esque seating position above the rear wheel, on a long seat attached to a rear rack, is wild but not completely unimaginable. But the bizarre steerer tube thing with the bow-shaped bend in the tube, desperately twisting the handlebars up into a barely-comfortable position, is just baffling. I wish we had footage of someone trying to ride this thing! Why??? That posture must be unbelievably painful! You must just push yourself right off the back of the bike with every pedal stroke, right? What is going on here?
  9. It used to be a thing for fixed-gear riders to chop their handlebars super short, ostensibly so that they could thread through cars more easily. Well, here are the shortest and so I guess coolest handlebars in the world? They're so short they look like they would fucking hurt your palms. One commenter says, "Best way to prevent your bike from being stolen is to have a bike no one wants to ride"
  10. Take a look at this adorable Taiwanese minivelo with a central cargo bucket clamped in between the sides of a split top tube! There are a couple other minivelos in this gallery as well, including a tandem minivelo with weird high-back seats.
