Uh oh, I'm getting into mesh radios....
A friend (I will not reveal who. If it is you, know I am preserving your anonymity) convinced me to buy a mesh radio. I'd been reading about Meshtastic for years and had a passing interest in it because it thematically overlaps with many of my other passionate interests, like "climbing up a big hill," "cycling everywhere," and "playing games that involve a real world map." Well, the friend convinced me to buy a very cheap one...

Uh oh!! I might develop another dumb hobby! At least I can do it in the exact same place I do all my other hobbies: outdoors, on a hilltop or a random ass street corner, while looking at a map...
In the last week, my radio has sent only about three messages successfully, but I've pinged over three hundred nodes ranging from the ocean near Catalina Island, to Santa Clarita, to Palmdale, to San Diego! Wowie!!! What if I went to try and visually locate some of these?? Yet another thing for me to involve in a private and bizarre variant of orienteering, or whatever...
