Prepare to ride the D
The first section of the LA Metro D line extension opens next Friday, May 8! If you live in the area, I highly recommend checking it out. I'll be riding it the first day it opens with some other people I know, and I'm very excited to see the new stations.
If you're in LA and you've been paying attention to local news, you are probably all tired out on the dickriding puns surrounding this new train opening. The LA Metro shop began selling Ride the D shirts after enthusiastic haranguing from the community; a member of the public also seems to have put a lot of sex pun posters in the system earlier this week.
I'll definitely have a post about this after I ride the new section! I also owe you all a post about a very cool thing I did several months ago now - a bus roadeo I attended. I'm sorry to still be constantly using this excuse, but as I continue to set my whole life up again after many months away, I'm slowly getting back into the groove of working, managing outstanding ultra-chores - like setting up the entire kitchen basically from scratch - and re-organizing a lot of my digital possessions back into useful places again (the NAS needed a lot of setup). Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing this new transit stuff and finally writing up the transit stuff that happened to me while I was too busy to post properly!! Stay tuned!!!
