Listening to TAKAAT - Is Noise, Vol. 3

I have posted here before about Mdou Moctar, a Nigerian psychedelic rock group inspired by Tuareg music. I really like listening to it on long car rides. I was first introduced to this music on a camping trip in the San Gabriels... so of you're going to go get stoned at a campsite, I highly recommend this group.

Anyway, I've recently been listening to TAKAAT, a project from a subset of the musicians who play on Mdou Moctar records. (Specifically, it's every current member who isn't the headliner guitarist, Mahamadou Souleymane.) In particular, I've been listening to TAKAAT - Is Noise, Vol. 3, their newest record.

You should too!! I really like it!!! It is if anything even better for my main listening context for this stuff. That is: when I've been driving for too long, and I'm mad about it, but I still have to drive somewhere. This has been my norm for several weeks now, as I close out sixteen solid days of cleaning and moving back into my apartment.
