I am playing Marathon!
I've been playing a little bit of Marathon, Bungie's newest sci-fi shooter. This is the first extraction game I have enjoyed. I'm still very new to it, however.
If you are playing Marathon, and you're a "mutual" - phrasing which makes very little sense now that I'm not posting very much - then let me know. I guess you are a "mutual" with me if we know each other well enough to find each other on Discord.
I had some interesting experiences playing the game today where I was running around like a bozo making a lot of noise and attracting a lot of attention - the way I'd play this game instinctually - but then partied up with someone who wanted to play the game very quietly and cautiously. It is definitely the kind of game which transforms under the intention and sweatiness you apply to it. I do appreciate that it has quests specifically designed to make you loud and messy, though. One of the early tutorial quests requires you to loudly engage a lot of robot enemies... and to just break a lot of glass. Fun!
I like the look of the game a lot. It is garish and horrible and kind of hard to parse visually at first, but you do get used to it. It's been a while since I played a 3D game that I had to learn to parse visually. THAT SAID... all the icons for items look the same to me. Everything is a fucking square. Look at all the squares I have here. This is terrible!

Anyway... let me know!! We can kill space guys together.
