Employment update

The basic update of this post is that I'm no longer available for full time work, but that I remain available for part time and contract work, and that I have a window of availability beginning in August!

We've officially settled into a situation where I am the narrative/production person at Blendo Games - the studio with which I shipped Skin Deep last year. I've yet to update this everywhere online, but going forward, that's my main place of employment.

My hours at Blendo fluctuate between full and part time depending on what we're doing over there, so I'll be taking part time work to supplement these hours going forward.

Since the layoff at Heart Machine last October, I've done occasional contract writing for KO-OP on Young Suns. However, starting in August I will be available again. For most of 2026, I'll have up to two-thirds of my time free each week.

I recently updated my blog to include a "Hire Me" page. On that page, you can find all this information again, plus a list of many past contracting projects, as well as some of the tools I'm familiar with.

Let me know if you've got a gig! I understand that the games industry is doing absolutely crap right now, and that narrative jobs are doing worse than practically any other discipline out there... but funding is picking up again, albeit slowly, and I maintain hope that publishers will keep finding ways to fill their slates through 2028. To do that, they gotta spend money.......
